In addition, it is used as an antifreeze additive for concrete in the construction industry, as well as a component of salt refrigerants (ammonium nitrate mixture), quenching baths in the metalworking industry.
Sodium nitrate also serves as an ingredient of salt lubricant for rolling pipes on machine tools and in solutions for acid etching of stainless steel pipes.
